Profile meets Audrey

Audrey is an appealing mix of French style and Yorkshire charm. When I first saw her walking the catwalk of Yorkshire regional fashion show, Fashion Fiesta, her smile was infectious, and I knew she would be perfect modelling for Molina Resort Wear and Accessories. A busy lady, Audrey captivates her many followers on social media with playful reels and shots of her in beautifully curated outfits, often while heading to the races! I spoke to her about what makes her tick, and the secrets behind her styling.

1.       Audrey, you had a fascinating start to modelling. Can you tell us how it all began?

My fashion journey started during a difficult period in my life. A week before Covid, I lost my horse, and overnight my routine changed completely. I went from riding four times a week and working in the office every day to being at home in lockdown with no hobby to focus on.

Knowing how much I loved fashion, my partner encouraged me to start photographing my outfits. What began as a creative outlet quickly turned into something much bigger. Not long after, my friend Lisa from Crowberry Wood invited me to model in the very first Femme Country Magazine fashion show as part of York Fashion Week. From that moment on, I was hooked and never looked back.

2.       I first saw you walking a catwalk at Fashion Fiesta, a West Yorkshire fashion show, and you looked like you were having a ball! Do you ever feel nervous appearing in front of lots of people?

Absolutely. Before my first fashion show, I was incredibly nervous. I barely slept and spent far too much time comparing myself to younger, slimmer models.

I remember calling my partner, who was in Spain at the time, and sharing all my worries. He asked me a simple question: “Are you doing this for fun, or are you doing it to add stress to your life?”

That completely changed my perspective. I reminded myself that fashion was something I loved and that this was meant to be enjoyable. Since then, I’ve focused on supporting others, embracing the experience, and simply having fun. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

3.       What do you love most about modelling?

Without a doubt, it’s the people. I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many inspiring designers, photographers, models, and creatives, all of whom share a genuine passion for what they do.

I also love seeing new collections before they’re released and experiencing the excitement behind the scenes at fashion events. Along the way, I’ve built some wonderful friendships that I know will last a lifetime.

4.       What has been your proudest fashion moment so far?

That’s a difficult one because there have been so many memorable moments. However, my first fashion show with Femme Country Magazine will always hold a special place in my heart.

The audience’s response was incredible. People applauded and complimented me on my energy and personality, which gave me a huge confidence boost.

Another proud moment was being featured in Femme Country Magazine itself. Both experiences reminded me that authenticity resonates far more than perfection.

5.       You are also a very successful content creator with a huge following. What would you say is key to producing content that people enjoy seeing and watching?

My biggest piece of advice is to be yourself. Authenticity is what people connect with most.

Stay consistent with your chosen theme and make sure the person your followers see online is the same person they would meet in real life. Building a genuine connection with your audience takes time, but it’s far more rewarding than trying to be someone you’re not. Be real, with the good, and the bad!

6.       I have to ask you… French ladies are known for their style, what is your secret ?

I honestly don’t think there are any real secrets when it comes to style. My mum has always loved fashion, so I grew up surrounded by her advice and influence. While she’s naturally more adventurous and eclectic, I tend to prefer outfits that feel coordinated and harmonious.

My biggest tip is to wear clothes that make you feel good because confidence shines through. Take the time to understand which colours, shapes and silhouettes work for you. For example, I know that very pale shades of blue, pink and yellow don’t flatter me, so I tend to avoid them. Style becomes much easier when you learn what works for you and embrace it.

7.       What is your go-to comfort outfit?

That’s an easy one! A pair of comfortable leggings, cosy socks and an oversized jumper. The jumper and socks absolutely have to match, of course! There’s something about a coordinated cosy outfit that instantly makes me feel relaxed and happy.

8.       Which fashion brand are you loving right now?

At the moment, I’m completely in love with the beautiful dresses by Holland Cooper that are available through Crowberry Wood in Helmsley. Their designs strike the perfect balance between elegance and wearability, and they’re pieces I find myself reaching for again and again.

9.       What role do scarves play in styling an outfit?

Scarves are one of my favourite accessories because they can completely transform an outfit. They add sophistication, colour and texture, while also creating a focal point that draws the look together.

Even the simplest outfit can feel more polished and intentional with the addition of a scarf. For me, they’re also a wonderful way to express personality and add individuality to a look.

10.  What would be your dream brand to work with?

Without hesitation, Dior. I’ve admired the brand since childhood and have always been drawn to its timeless elegance, craftsmanship and iconic designs. For me, Dior perfectly embodies classic style with a modern edge.

11.  What does a typical fashion shoot day look like for you?

A fashion shoot day usually starts early. I’ll get ready, do my hair and makeup, and make sure all the outfits have been carefully prepared and packed the night before. Then it’s time to load up the car—or occasionally hop on a train—and head to the location.

The day itself is often far less glamorous than people imagine! There can be plenty of standing around, quick outfit changes in tents, public toilets or, if we’re lucky, a studio. Lunch is usually eaten on the go, and there’s often a lot of walking involved as we move between different shooting locations.

One of my favourite parts is spending time with friends and fellow creatives. There are always lots of laughs, behind-the-scenes moments and the occasional silly reel for social media. By the end of the day, I’ve usually clocked up thousands of steps and photographed several different outfits.

Once I’m home, it’s time to relax, share behind-the-scenes content, send photos and videos to my mum and best friends, and catch up on comments, messages and the latest trends. It’s a busy day, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
