Are you summer ready?

While the summer months are well and truly under way, you may still be wondering what to wear on your holidays. While we are a huge advocate of using what already exists in your wardrobe, (obviously with a hint of silk scarf!), we also see nothing wrong in updating your collection with a good quality piece that will last.

Styling our Paint it Red kaftan

When there’s a heatwave, you can’t beat silk georgette. Its barely there touch against your skin is a godsend, while the fabric's super-power properties mean you won’t get too hot. Use the kaftan to cover up your bikini, add a belt to dress it up, or slip on jeans to take you through to evening. Paint it Red is a design that requires simple, block colour garment pairings and these cute bikinis from Reiss in bright blue or coral, available with matching bottoms are all you need.

We say it all the time, but silk scarves are so versatile. They take up very little space in your bag, and yet they can be used to dress up an outfit or bag, or worn as an extra item of clothing. Try folding into a triangle and tying at the back for a cute bandeau top, or tying at the neck and lower back for a halter-neck style top. Packing limit woes are a thing of the past!

We have styled Tamila, above, in a 90cm by 90cm silk twill scarf in Elephant Tooth, folded into a triangle and tied at the back. This would work well with a blue or crimson bikini, but we think the Me + Em orange bikini would look amazing, teamed with a simple fedora and this absolutely adorable elephant bag from Loewe.
